We took a chance on this industry in 1990, two people determined to start a business and provide a service that would be valuable to others. We chose electronics contract manufacturing because of our experience in the area and because we knew we could provide assembly services for manufacturers who choose to outsource their assembly requirements. We believed we could do a better job of it than most other companies already out there.

Over the years, our belief has been proved out as we expanded our customer base again and again along with the size of our crew, square footage and equipment list. There have been many challenges along the way, but we have continued to flourish and prosper, without the assistance of venture capital or dot.com fever. We believe that we have come to be among the soundest companies in our field.

When we see competitors who undercut to the point where they don't make a profit or who fail to pay their vendors, it makes us sad for the whole industry. The only justice is that these companies don't make it in the long run. We have good vendor relationships and it hurts to see vendors getting stung by other companies as this then tends to undermine their relationships with companies like ours.

We place emphasis on our customer service and communication skills. With the multitude of opportunities for error which exist in contract manufacturing, no manufacturer is perfect. However, there is a difference in how various companies handle issues. Schippers & Crew confronts and handles what needs to be handled.
